Five Wonderful Movie Summaries For You To Check Out

By Chasity Strong

Films are most likely the number one desired form of entertainment in the world. The fact is that movies are low-priced, commonly beloved and they have the power to affect us psychologically. When a motion picture is based on true events we learn from the troubles of another person, and most of the time fictional films have an effect on us the same way.

Dingo - An surprising appearance by jazz trumpeter Billy Cross (Davis) in a boy's rural town empowers him to become a musician himself. Now grown up, he still fantasies of playing for a living and honoring his lifelong hero. This friendly but dull paced storyline is kindled by Miles Davis' dynamic presence and fawning behavior. Cast includes Colin Friels, Miles Davis, Helen Buday, Joe Petruzzi, Bernadette Lafont, and Bernard Fresson. (108 minutes,'91)

Nutcracker the Motion Picture - Much of this rendition of The Nutcracker, acted by the Pacific Norhtwest Ballet, is like a music video with rapid cutting and close-ups of legs, faces, and elbows. This is tremendously annoying. However the Tchaikovsky music is, obviously, amazing, as are Maurice Sendak's sets and costumes. Cast includes Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Sharp, Patricia Barker, Wade Walthall, Russell Burnett, and the voice of Julie Harris. (89 minutes,'86)

Fade-In - Bizarre little movie made concurrently with Blue, in reference to love event between film editor Loden and guy she meets when performing on site. Not extremely great, however an absolute curiosity on no account discharged theatrically. Cast includes Burt Reynolds, Barbara Loden, Noam Pitlik, Patricia Casey, James Hampton, and Joseph Perry. (93 minutes,'68)

Borderline - Peculiar thriller comedy in which L.A. police officer Trevor tries to gather proof contrary to cunning drug smuggler Burr when mixing with hard gentleman MacMurray in Mexico. Starts out favorably, although eventually slows down in ridiculousness. Burr makes a lucid scoundrel. The cast includes Fred MacMurray, Claire Trevor, Raymond Burr, Jose Torvay, Morris Ankrum, and Roy Roberts. (88 minutes,'50)

Stage Door Canteen - Wartime tale of romance between cadet and hostess at N.Y.C.'s fabled canteen is filled with cameos, walk-ons, talks, and musical numbers by a remarkable battery of megastars, containing Katharine Hepburn, Harpo Marx, Paul Muni, Helen Hayes, Benny Goodman, Tally Basie, and Edgar Bergen. Cast includes Cast includes Cheryl Walker, Wiliam Terry, MaIjorie Riordan, Lon McCallister, Margaret Eary, and Michael Harrison. (132 minutes,'43)

Lots of these movies are considered to be some of the best films of all times and based upon recognition and box office revenue they are the most excellent of all times. You may not be able to come across them at your community video store but if you want to see them you can now download unabridged, first-rate movies right to your own computer on a respectable, wholly legal film download site. - 18780
