Jonas Brothers Tickets And Tour Dates

By Joette Talle

The latest Jonas Brothers' album is out, and it's already the most talked about album in America! "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" debuted at #1 in the Billboard Top 200 Chart, and now it's time for the Jonas Brothers to bring the music to your hometown.

The Brothers, Nick, Kevin and Joe launched their career earlier this decade, fueled by massive exposure on the Disney Channel and despite their relative freshness to the American awareness, they've put out over eight million in album sales worldwide. The band is comprised of Nick, who provides the vocals and rhythm guitar for the band, Joe and Kevin, the oldest brother. Although Nick is the youngest, it was his voice that catapulted the group to stardom.

Joe Jonas is the middle brother, and he shares the lead vocal duties with Nick. He has also had high profile romances of his own, including one with your country superstar Taylor Swift, who is currently on a tour of her own. The romance with Swift has put Joe, chosen in 2008 by People Magazine as one of the Sexiest Men Alive, squarely in the path of the tabloid media.

Although the brothers originally signed to Columbia, they were extremely unhappy with the low promotion of their debut album, and were able to switch labels. After an appearance on the blockbuster Disney Channel show, Hannah Montana, they were a smash success and their album rocketed to a top five place on the charts. The episode with the Jonas Brothers was a smash hit for the Hannah Montana series as well.

After the appearance on Hannah Montana, the Jonas Brothers were a smash hit and their third album peaked at number one when it was released in 2008. As the band enjoyed wild commercial success, they also starred in a reality show on the Disney Channel, which showed the group as it dealt with the onslaught of popularity.

The band also appeared in "Camp Rock", a Disney Channel television movie that was extremely successful and one of the highest rated TV movies. The soundtrack to the movie enjoyed even more success, rising all the way to the top 5 on the Billboard charts. The crowing achievement for the year was an appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.

After the whirlwind of 208 died down, the band set about creating their next smash hit, touring in South America, and flying to Europe to appear in a handful of shows. After they took some time off, they release "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" and by the time they launched their 2009 tour to support it, the album had hit number one.

In late June, the tour started in front of 50,000 fans at the new Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, and is now moving north to Western Canada. From Canada, the tour winds its way back towards the east coast, before heading to LA, where the Jonas Brothers will host the 2009 Teen Choice Awards on August 10th. After once again making their way back east and into the South during the rest of August, the band will take a 2-month break to recharge before tackling Europe during October and November. - 18780

By Jeff Bridges

Giacomo Puccini is the original writer of the popular opera Madame Butterfly. If you attend this dazzling opera we recommend bringing a pair of opera glasses to enjoy it to the fullest extent. And we will tell you why.

The story of Madame Butterfly begins with a U.S. Naval Officer by the name of Pinkerton, and a Goro, a Japanese Marriage Broker. Pinkerton and Goro are looking at a quaint little house built atop a hill overlooking the bay. Pinkerton finds himself inspecting the home for his beautiful bride, and himself to live in. Pinkerton, upon completion of the home decides to buy the home for 999 years, while holding the right to cancel the agreement at any time.

The opera moves on, and we find that a wedding between Pinkerton and Butterfly is about to take place. Almost all of Butterfly's family will be coming to attend, however her uncle will not be coming due to the fact that he is a priest.

Pinkerton of course plans to marry Butterfly however, his true goal in life is to gain the love of as many beautiful women as possible, as he puts it, and he will not be satisfied until he captures the flowers of every shore. For this reason he retained the right to cancel the agreement any month. The time approaches that the stage will introduce you to the elegant Butterfly, have your opera glasses prepared.

Before the Japanese beauty, Butterfly, enters the opera, the American consul comes out and asks Pinkerton if he truly loves his soon-to-be bride. Pinkerton cannot commit with a yes. He only describes how mesmerized he is by Butterfly's personality which includes innocence, beauty and charm. One day Pinkerton speaks of having a real marriage to an American woman.

The Beautiful Butterfly graces the stage; Butterfly and Pinkerton are married with all of Butterfly's family in attendance. As the celebration of the wedding continues, Butterfly's uncle, the priest breaks in to the party and condemns Butterfly for renouncing her religion to marry Pinkerton. Butterfly's heart breaks and finds herself in the arms of Pinkerton being comforted.

Butterfly finally gets over the condemnation and curse that she received from her uncle, and remains happily married to her beloved Pinkerton. Weeks turn to months, and she can hardly contain her joy and love for the man of her dreams, she continues to fall more deeply in love with a man that does not love her back. Pinkerton one day receives notice that he is to go on duty as a naval officer; before he leaves he gives Butterfly money, and promises to return as soon as possible.

As act three begins, we come to know that three years have passed since Pinkerton walked out the door for the last time. Butterfly faithfully watches out the window each day to see if his ship will come in. One day as she is watching out the window, she sees a figure that she recognizes walking up the path. No it is not Pinkerton coming up the path, but his good friend that she has known from the beginning as his friend the American Consul. She greets him excitedly hoping that he brings news from her husband. Unknown to Butterfly, the American Consul has been sent to her by Pinkerton to tell her that he has married an American woman named Kate, and that he would not be returning to her ever. Broken hearted, the American Consul Curses Pinkerton, and gives the news so hard to bear.

Butterfly weeps as she hears the story of betrayal and leaves the room distraught. After a short moment she returns carrying a child, and reveals to the American Consul that it is Pinkerton's. She exclaims with all her heart that her husband could not possibly leave her wife and child for another. After further conversation with the Consul, she accepts that her husband was never truly hers.

There is one final chapter to be played out in Madame Butterfly, but as always you must attend to see the end. This opera is truly amazing, and a wonder to behold, this is a performance that will try dazzle your senses, amazing costumes, wonderful music, and a story line to thrill. 09: Christmas Is Coming Early For Fans Of The Beatles

By Jamie T. Winston

If you're like me (a huge Beatles freak) then 9/9/9 is basically Christmas Day! This is the day that new remastered Beatles CDs are finally coming out, 22 years since the original Beatles CDs were released.

The CD versions from 1987 are considered to an example of very poor mastering which is why Beatles fans have been wanting to hear these classic albums remastered for so long.

But the excitement from 9/9/9 doesn't just come from the fact that the albums are being remastered for the first time since their original release on CD, it also comes from the mono box set that is being released on that day.

This will be the first time ever that the original mono mixes of all of The Beatles albums (at least those that had an original mono mix) are going to be released on CD.

Why should we care about mono mixes in 2009? Isn't this an outdated way of listening to music? Well certainly nobody is mixing in mono these days, but it is worth hearing these original mixes because that's how the albums were originally intended to be heard.

The mono mixes are what The Beatles (along with the bands producers and engineers) were mainly focused on. The stereo mixes were done as an after thought with little (if any) input from the band, while the mono mixes were worked on until they were considered to be perfect.

Because of this many feel that the original mono mix of an album such as Sgt. Pepper is the "real" version of the album.

But new CDs are not the only Beatles gear coming out on September 9th, there's also the new Beatles Rock Band game. It looks like a lot of fun.

The "instruments" for the game even look like the real Beatles instruments (check out Ringo's drums!) This will the first Rock Band game which allows for harmony singing (with three microphones you can actually do three part harmonies!) - 18780
