An Array Of Choice Hollywood Movie Overviews

By Julie Shannon

Movie reviews follow this paragraph. To find movie downloads do a search. To get some good sites try to search phrases like "Download Movie Rental", "Download Full Length Movies", or "Download Full Length Movies".

The Fragile Delinquent: Jerry's first solo attempt after separating with Dean Martin has him as late who gets to be a cop with McGavin's help. Cast Jerry Lewis, Martha Hyer, Darren McGavin, Horace McMahon, and Milton Frome. (100 minutes, 1957)

Airheads: 3 metal heads with toy guns reluctantly take a music station prisoner, wishing to get play for their one and only demo tape. Not precisely the most difficult subject to satirize, although the script is weak anyway. A somewhat vigorous direction and compact running time help a tad. (91 minutes, 1994)

The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe: This is a witty re-creation of Lily Tomlin's 1985 one female Broadway show. Her characterizations run the gamut from box woman to juvenile delinquent to New Age Lady, with much of the material in a feminist vein. The show stars Lily Tomlin obviously. (120 minutes, 1991)

Rally 'Round the Flag, Boys: Disheartening film of Max Shulman's novel in regards to small city in uproar over a new missile base in their neighborhood. Cast includes Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Joan Collins, Jack Carson, Dwayne Hickman, Tuesday Weld, and Gale Gordon. (89 minutes, 1958)

House of the Dead: This is a low-grade terror film, based on the video game, which charts the predictable destinies of some addle brained youngsters drawn to an island inhabited by zombies. Sloppily made and mindnumbingly inept. Cast includes Jonathan Cherry, Tyron Leitso, Clint Howard, Ona Grauer, Ellie Cornell, Can Sanderson, and Enuka Okuma. (92 minutes, 2003)

The Red Violin: Multi-episode film follows the destiny of a hexed violin from 17th-century Italy to 18th century Vienna, 19th century England, 20th-century China and present day Montreal. The tales are mainly downbeat and or aggravating, and the finish up part with appraiser Jackson is difficult to swallow. Colorful locales and enthralling premises sustain limited interest all the way through. Cast includes Carlo Cecchi, Irene Grazioli, Jean-Luc Bideau, Jason Flemyng, Greta Scacchi, Sylvia Chang, Samuel L. Jackson, Colm Feore, Monique Mercure, Don McKellar, and Sandra Oh. (131 minutes, 1998)

Marie Antoinette: Visually sumptuous account of an adolescent's voyage from Vienna to the Palace at Versailles and the throne of France. Author-director Coppola's Marie (as played by Dunst) is a modern-day gal, with contemporary music set contrary to the pomp and circumstance of the 18th century life. Starts to tire eventually and ends with a cry, not a smash although there's much to like here. Cast includes Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Judy Davis, Tear Tom, Steve Coogan, Rose Byrne, Asia Argento, Molly Shannon, Shirley Henderson, Danny Huston, Marianne Faithfull, Mary Nighy, and Sarah Adler. (123 minutes, 2006)

Double Wedding: Loy's orchestration of her sis's marriage ceremony is upset by the presence of free spirited bohemian Powell. The megastars are the entire show in this alternatively disheartening adaptation of Ferenc Molnar's play Incredible Love. Cast includes William Powell, Myrna Loy, Florence Rice, John Beal, Jessie Ralph, Edgar Kennedy, Sidney Toler, and Mary Gordon. (87 minutes, 1937)

The Lost Boys: Family moves to a California town where the local adolescent clique turns out to be vampires! Smooth film aimed at adolescent spectators. Both the humor and the structuring are pretty apparent. Only genuine fireworks materialize at the end in the very last showdown. Cast includes Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Dianne Wiest, Bamard Hughes, Edward Herrmann, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, and Jamison Newlander. (97 minutes, 1987)

Guitar Motivation - Reasons You Might Give Up On The Guitar

By Kyle Hoffman

You may have just bought your first guitar, started on one practice with tons of motivation, and then out of nowhere, decided to give up. This is all too common among beginning guitarists and frustration seems to be the reason.

When you have discouraging thoughts implanted in your head, it's hard to get them out to do anything, even learn a new instrument like the guitar. Get back some of your guitar motivation by looking over this quick list of reasons why you might not be picking up your instrument again.

1. You can't find any time. As hard as it is to believe, there's always time to learn something new even with the obligations of your family and job. The key to learning something new is forcing even the smallest amount of time into your normal schedule like five to ten minutes, just to gain some momentum and enjoyment.

2. You're not making goals. Goals are what can keep you driving forward and looking towards the future. By setting goals for yourself, you now have an obligation to make more time and to achieve a reasonable success that will fuel your guitar motivation.

3. You take on too much with your goals. A common reason that early guitarists give up is because they know how to set goals, but they don't keep their goals small and reachable. Think of your goals as little stepping stones on the way to completion and the more smaller steps you have the more guitar motivation you'll receive.

4. You don't play what you enjoy hearing. Sure, you know that scales and practice riffs are essential to improving, but if that's all you attempt to play, it's no wonder you don't enjoy the guitar. Postpone your progress goals every now and then so you can play for actual enjoyment to keep your spirits up.

5. You don't write out what you hope to accomplish. A very powerful motivation technique is to create a personal contract for yourself that states what you promise to accomplish and then signing it. It sounds corny, but your chances of completing your goals are much higher with this tangible item to remind you.

6. You don't want to fail. Failure is one of the worst common fears and it's even prevalent in learning new talents such as the guitar. Just remind yourself that you have nothing to lose, that it's a talent that can stay hidden if you want, and you can go at any pace you desire.

There are a lot of things that can stand in your way of learning the guitar and that's why it might be hard to pick up the instrument again. But, if you learn to throw away your assumptions of how you'll perform and work at your own pace, you can achieve any success you want and gain back some of your guitar motivation. - 18780

Here's Another Mini Guitar Lesson - Here's The Most Popular Jammed To Chord Sequence Ever!!!

By Mike Jones

This weeks article is probably the most popular Jammed to chord sequence ever!!! And it is an absolute must know for ALL guitarists. Its called the 12 bar blues and is the foundation of all blues music.

Let's have a look at it in the key of A, in its basic form.

OK, let's take a look :-)

We start by counting 4 beats to a bar like this: 1,2,3,4/1,2,3,4/ etc etc... Now start off by playing 4 bars of the A chord, followed by 2 bars of D, then go back to A for 2 bars then play one bar of E, one bar of D, a bar of A and finally a bar of E to finish the progression off. This sequence is called the 12 bar blues with obviously 12 bars in total.

Simply keep repeating the sequence and get you friends to jam along with you in the key of A. It'll sound great trust me! If you listen closely to a blues number you will probably be able to pick it out as it is a very popular sequence.

I do hope you are enjoying these free mini guitar lessons and as I have said before dont worry if some of this stuff doesn't make too much sense because in my full audio video program everything will become crystal clear very quickly indeed and will follow a secret structured method that will transform you into a killer guitar player.

Now we've had a go at the 12 bar blues we will keep on the theme and introduce one of the many variations of a 12 bar blues.

To start off we'll use the key of A (major) as an example. It uses the 7th chords which sound really cool in this context.

This next sequence goes like this: I A I D I A I A7 I D I D I A I A I E7 I D7 I A7 I E7 I

I A I = 1 bar of A (major) - I D I = 1 bar of D (major) etc

A7 is played - 6th string not used, 5th string open, 4th string2nd fret, 3rd string open, 2nd string 2nd fret, 1st string open.

D7 is played - 6th & 5th string not used, 4th string open, 3rd string 2nd fret, 2nd string 1st fret, 1st string 2nd fret.

E7 is played - 6th string open, 5th string 2nd fret, 4th string open, 3rd string 1st fret, 2nd & 1st string open.

You'll really enjoy this... It's a great chord sequence to jam to and allows you to endlessly practise your soloing over.

Next is a cool little tip that will make your 12 bar blues even more bluesy...

So again we will take the key of A and substitute the D chord and E chord for a D9 (D9th) and E9 (E9th). The D9th chord shape is played like this:

The 6th string is not used, the 5th string played on the 5th fret (second finger). Play the 4th string on the 4th fret with your first finger and then play strings 3,2 and 1 at the 5th fret using your 3rd finger.

The E9 chord is simply played by sliding the chord shape up two frets. The 12 bar blues sequence is then played like this:-

lAlAlAlAlD9lD9lAlAlE9lD9lAlE9l

Use this 9th chord to create a real bluesy chord sequence.

Have fun. - 18780
