By Tamika Buchanan

You get home and you are in the frame of mind to watch a funny comedy and you find that they sent the latest horror flick instead. And some of the mail-in subscriptions don't offer the newest releases until later so you end up having to visit the dvd/store anyway and you're back where you started because of course the movie is not in stock and you have to wait again.

Barnyard - Animated zaniness set on a farm where, after sundown, the animals turn the barn into a noisy nightclub. James is Otis, a young cow who is very grown-up, much to the chagrin of his dad, Ben Elliott, who keeps watch for preying coyotes when the others party. Dom Irrera stands out as Duke the Dog. Cast includes Courtney Cox, Sam Elliott, Danny Glover, Wanda Sykes, Andie MacDowell, David Koechner, and Laraine Newman. (90 minutes, 2006)

High Crimes - Lawyer Claire Kubik has just been informed that her spouse is not who she thinks he is. Tom Kubik is really Ron Chapman, and he is on trial in the military justice system for the killing of villagers in Latin America. Claire takes on the case but just what will she find out, as the facts are unraveled?

The Horse Whisperer - After her daughter is critically hurt in a horse riding accident, her wealthy mother takes the horse to a famous horse whisperer in Montana. A romance between the two follows.

Dracula - Gloomy retelling of the Bram Stoker classic, with Langella's esteemed Broadway portrayal lost among trendy terror gimmicks and ill-imagined changes in the original tale. The movie was filmed in England. Cast includes Frank Langella, Laurence Olivier, Donald Pleasence, Kate Nelligan, Trevor Eve, Janine Duvitski, and Tony Haygarth. (109 minutes,'79)

Solar Crisis: Futuristic sci-fi thriller with Matheson leading a save the Earth mission to the sun to stop a solar flash from annihilating the world. Fine visual effects and thrilling story in space harmed by world pranks of poor boy Boyle who ridiculously wants to challenge the mission. Cast includes Tim Matheson, Charlton Heston, Peter Boyle, and Annabel Schofield. (112 minutes,'90)

As a result we tried a mail subscription. It sounded like it might work well. Just fill up your queue and pick up your movies at the mailbox. The only problem was that if the first movie that you wanted wasn't available then they would mail the second movie or the third movie on your list in its place. - 18780

Communion: Mental thriller with Walken well cast as author Whitley Strieber, who finds himself visited by odd beings. Does he need a psychiatrist or an exorcist? A tad long in the tooth and the dramatic scenes between Walken and spouse Crouse don't really work. The movie still has some good moments. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Lindsay Crouse, Frances Sternhagen, Andreas Katsulas, Terri Hanauer, Joel Carlson, and Basil Hoffman. (107 minutes,'77)

About Adam: This is a true "chick flick". About Adam is a light hearted romantic comedy about a Don Juan type who courts all three sisters of a quirky, and tight knit, Scottish family. Faraway So Close: The exact Wenders cast if not the exact Wenders film takes up where the more victorious Wings of Desire left off. This time it is life saver Sander who becomes mortal, joining his old celestial buddy who's now wedded to a carnival entertainer. Over the last century, no instrument has come to prominence like the guitar. Once the choice of only folk fans and cowboys (and nothing wrong with that), the guitar came to dominate the music world once the solid body electric type was developed. A Sampling Of Precise Film Plot Lines To Go Over

By Manuela Bryant

For a long time we have used the video store as one of our main ways to access movies. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Let's look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

Trading Places: This movie is testing heredity vs. environment by switching a "have" preppy Aykroyd and a "have-not" road hustler Murphy. Murphy, in his second film, is a powerhouse, and makes up for director Landis' pleasures like a subplot engaging a horny gorilla. Cast includes Dan Aykroyd, Eddie Murphy, Ralph Bellamy, Don Ameche, Denholm Elliott, Kristin Holby, Al Franken, Tom Davis, and Bill Cobbs.(116 minutes,'83)

Alaska: Adolescent venture on a grand scale, as a brother and sister take off looking for their dad and his downed plane. Structured like an old B movie melodrama, however implemented with conviction contrary to magnificent, snowy landscape and characterizing an irresistible polar bear who befriends the youngsters. Heston, whose child prompted the drama, plays a mean, cunning old man. Cast includes Thora Birch, Vincent Kartheiser, Dirk Benedict, Charlton Heston, Duncan Fraser, and Gordon Tootoosis. (110 minutes,'96)

Spellbound: Riveting story of psychiatrist Bergman trying to expose Poke's hang-ups; Dali fantasy patterns, industrious and Oscar winning Miklos Rozsa helps Hitchcock build another brilliant film. Cast includes Alfred Hitchcock, Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Poke, Leo G. Carroll, John Emery, Michael Chekhov, Wallace Ford, Rhonda Fleming, Bill Goodwin, and Regis Toomey. (111 minutes,'45)

The Last Shot: Amusing charade, empowered by a real tale, telling the story of an FBI man (Baldwin) who makes believe to produce a film so he can trap a mobster with ties to the Teamsters union. Baldwin starts to like his "role" as a movie producer, as he turns his idea into reality. Cast includes Matthew Broderick, Alec Baldwin, Toni Collette, Tony Shalhoub, Calista Flockhart, Tim Blake Nelson, Buck Henry, Ray Liotta, James Rebhorn, Jon Polito, and Pat Morita. (93 minutes, 2004)

Heartbreaker: Chicano Allende falls for WASP Dunlap among an ambiance of custom-fitted cars. Dull self sufficient production is displeasingly devoid of observations into the lifestyle it portrays. Look quick for Patty "Apollonia" Kotero. Cast includes Daybreak Dunlap, Peter Gonzales Falcon, Michael D. Roberts, Miguel Ferrer, Pepe Serna, and Rafael Campos. (90 minutes,'83)

Madagascar: A fun animated family comedy. When Marty the zebra decides he wants to see the world from outside the zoo, the penguins help him escape. Marty is gone, his friend also breaks out to find him and bring him home. Once out, they are captured by well meaning humans and shipped to Africa, to be returned to the wild. They miss Africa, and wind up on the magical island of Madagascar.

Hook, Line & Sinker: Conceivably ludicrous premise about allegedly dying man who runs up one hundred thousand in credit card debt. Even Lewis fans can be bored. Cast includes Jerry Lewis, Peter Lawford, Anne Francis, Pedro Gonzalez-Gonzalez, Jimmy Miller, and Kathleen Freeman. (91 minutes,'51)

The Ploughman's Lunch: Difficult, skeptical condemnation of British behaviors, ethics and affairs of state, focusing on the exercises of completely selfish journalist (Pryce) and others throughout the Falklands battle. The film is relatively perceptive, within the restraints of its outlook. Cast includes Jonathan Pryce, Tim Curry, Rosemary Harris, Blunt Finlay, and Charlie Dore. (100 minutes,'83)

Airport: Weak, later Laurel and Hardy comedy. One conceivably excellent scene with dull-burn as director Kennedy doesn't meet his normal high standards. Cast includes Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Edgar Kennedy, Jacqueline White, Horace Stephen McNally, and Donald Modest. (67 minutes,'43)

Remember, be creative and use phrases like "Free Movies To Watch Online". If the first search proves ineffective type in something different. We would recommend trying "Movie Streaming Online" for new search results. - 18780
