The Worst Possible Xbox 360 Games

Since the Xbox 360 originally came out quite some time ago, we've been fortunate enough to see some excellent titles which leave us longing for more. On the other hand, we've seen just as many titles which have left us feeling angry and cheated.

The thing is, for the money we cough up all the time, we want a great title. A production company shouldn't just release a game because they need the money. Now not all games need a great story to make the games brilliant, but there have to be a few things in the games that we will not forget. Memorable characters and a bad story will still run together properly.

Perhaps you had the misfortune of playing a game called "Two World's"? Fair enough, I suppose there were a handful of people who enjoyed it but I think it's safe to assume that the vast majority simply hated it. Not only were the graphics terrible, but the sound and control configuration were just as bad. In fact, there really was nothing good about it at all.

Another game - and it won't be a surprise if no one has heard of - is called Hour-of-Victory. The problem with this game is that it appeared on the shelves in stores a couple of years late. If you are looking for a great WW2 game, there is the Call-of-Duty franchise. The problem with HOV is the horrible sound and graphics. The level of design is awful and the artificial intelligence could have been trees instead. Let's not mention the bugs and glitches.

Vampire games are cool, right? Well, not Vampire Rain. When you want a stealth game, you want it to be a bit of a challenge like the Splinter Cell games. Fighting vampires is bad, because they are powerful, but if you can sneak past them and knock them by mistake and still continue sneaking around there has to be something wrong. This game fell apart the second it started. There are tons of cut scenes in the game that is intervened by lengthy loading times. Sound and graphics are average. Mix all these problems together and you get an awful vampire stew.

Next we look at Jumper, the videogame based on the movie. When this game is originally intended for a cheap machine, we have to give the programmers a medal for making things look a bit shinier and also better looking for the new platform. Not in Jumper's case, though. Pure PS2 graphics, from beginning to end. This is an insult.

The games mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg as far as bad games are concerned. As you may have already discovered yourself, it's incredibly easy to throw your money away on a bad game simply because by the time you realize it, it's too late.

If you really don't fancy taking your chances as to whether or not a game is good or bad, then you should ideally do a bit of research before you part with your money. In fact, there's no excuse not to, considering that there are many websites offering unbiased reviews. - 18780

Cry the Beloved Country: Moving redo of the 1951 film based on Alan Paton's rejoiced novel, in reference to a backwoods pastor (Jones) who, in 1946, makes his first ever trip to the city of Johannesburg in search of his errant child. At the same time prosperous landowner Harris voyages there to claim the body of his child, who has just been killed. We see phenomenal work by Jones, Harris, and a largely foreign cast. Not as understated as the first making, however powerful in its own way. Cast includes Richard Harris, James Earl Jones, Charles S. Dutton, and Vusi Kunene. (120 minutes, 1995)

Rambling Rose: Evocative story set in 1930s Georgia, with Dem as an oversexed senseless gal who comes to work for a ladylike family headed by Duvall and Ladd. Vibrant, pleasantly detailed, and well performed, with numerous delightful astonishments during the voyage. Cast includes Laura Dem, Rohert Duvall, Diane Ladd, Lukas Haas, John Heard, Kevin Conway, Rohert J. Burke, Lisa Jakub, and Evan Lockwood. (112 minutes, 1991)

Alfred the Great: Tale of youthful leader of 9th-century England can't choose if it's an earnest historical journal or wide swashbuckJer and triumphs in neither. Cast includes David Hemmings, Michael York, Prunella Ransome, Colin Blakely, Julian Glover, and Ian McKellen. (122 minutes, 1969)

The Search: Poignant drama of American cadet Clift regarding for concentration camp survivor Jandl in postwar Berlin, when the boy's mommy despondently searches all the camps for him. Beautifully performed and directed. Cast includes Montgomery Clift, Ivan Jandl, Aline MacMahon, Jarmila Novotna, and Wendell Corey. (105 minutes, 1948)

A Nightmare on Elm Street the Dream Child: Fifth iin the Freddy Crugar series with everyone with the exception of Englund just going through the paces. Here, scarred, dreamhaunting Freddy Krueger (Englund) uses the unborn child of Wilcox to strike at her buddies. As typical, visual effects are a highlight however don't spare the film from being a bore. Cast includes Englund, Lisa Wilcox, Kelly Jo Minter, Erika Anderson, Whitby Hertford, and Danny Hassel. (89 minutes, 1989)

Repulsion: Polanski's first English-language film is phenomenal mental shocker portraying psychological deterioration of sexually repressed gal left alone in her sibling's condo for few nights. Hasn't lost a tad of its impact; can leave you anxious for nights later on. Cast includes Catherine Deneuve, Ian Hendry, John Fraser, Patrick Wymark, Yvonne Fumeaux, and James Villiers.
